Asante Sanaa is an art fashion brand. We show you the beauty of East African paintings. And in a very special way: We design motifs for various fashion items with the paintings of our artists. Currently you can find in our online store T-shirts, sweatshirts, jute bags, posters – and of course paintings.

We are pleased to present you our new Asante Sanaa collection “Pamoja” to introduce to you. Pamoja is Kiswahili and stands for Together.

Together
with you, we would like to celebrate East African art and embrace it in our hearts.

Since the launch of Asante Sanaa, we have been advocating for artists from East Africa by bringing their artwork to the German streets with you. Both with our traveling exhibition, i.e. fashion, and with the growing portfolio of paintings, we offer our artists a whole new stage.
The “Together” is something that we not only want to live in our social startup, but also want to carry as a message to the outside world. This is the goal of our new campaign “Pamoja”.

Together we advocate for the visibility of East African artists.
With our products, events and sales areas, we create a platform and access for them to you and the entire European market.

We pay particular attention to ensuring that women are also part of our portfolio. Eight female artists are already in our portfolio, we are proud of each of them, but we know that we want and need to promote more female talent in the future.

While women have already played an important role in our past campaigns, both as artists and as motifs, we now want to focus on them even more with Pamoja.

Through art, we also want to address the equality of East African women in everyday life.

The role of women is undergoing change and is shaped by various influencing factors. Aspects such as regional conditions in the city and in the countryside as well as religion are decisive.

These differences are also expressed in their art.

With various portraits of women, the strength and sensuality of the figure of the woman is depicted in many facets. However, in addition to the positive portrayal as strong role models, the social problems are also addressed in the paintings.
As you view our new collection, let its diversity impress you and inspire you with the stories behind the women depicted.

We look forward to working with you to bring “Pamoja” to the world!
